Perceived Value of Real Estate Services
Closed Published by Steve Crossland September 27th, 2006 on Austin Real Estate Blog - Austin TX Real EstateI was talking with another Realtor recently who had been the listing agent on a home sold to Buyers I had represented. I was shocked to learn today that his Sellers thought he did a lousy job on that deal. The reason for their unhappiness - the home sold too fast.
When I did the market […]
I know that a lot of people have revelations after reading religious texts or self help books, but this article about why broccoli tastes so incredibly awful has brought order and clarity to my life. In short, recent studies have demonstrated that there is in fact a genetic component involved in the way that […]
Well, considering that we’ve seen my friendy advice is all but worthless
(aka I SUCK AT THAT), from now on, I’ll use emo boy band lyrics to try to help:
Speak to me, when all you got to keep is strong
Move along, move along like I know you do
And even when your hope is gone
Move along, move […]
I’m going to compete (technically, not a competition) in National Novel Writing Month. Little would you know from reading this travesty of a blog, I have an English degree and in my dreams I am a published author. So, what better way to get the creative juices flowing then a contest (non-competitive though it is) that […]
Go Local

But, we also have a huge local business atmosphere. And the city seems to rally behind it’s local business owners, which […]
Aside from Lucy Liu being inexplicably cast as someone young enough for Josh Hartnett, this is a great movie. The dialogue was witty. I can’t get into plot without giving a lot away, but it’s a mistaken identity case turned humor and crime drama. Check it out if you haven’t seen it yet!!
I have one of those giant desk calendars behind my laptop. SSHH and I record the good, the bad, and the ugly. C = cardio, W = weights, and D = drinking (yes even one drink).
I started working out maybe in March, before the wedding to try and get a little toned up for my backless […]
Yet another great thing about the lack of a job: No Monday mornings.
When SSHH and I were first dating, he introduced me to Musical Starstreams. It’s a radio program on 107.1 KGSR on Sunday nights from 10-12. Downtempo electronica and stuff. Well, SSHH always wants to listen to this in the new theatre room, all the lights off, […]
Soft market teaches flippers an ever-so-humble lesson
Closed Published by Steve Crossland September 22nd, 2006 on Austin Real Estate Blog - Austin TX Real EstateHere is an interesting article on flipping real estate and how the soft market (in areas other than Austin) is affecting those who practice that particular form of real estate investing. The website referenced in the article doesn’t have stats for Austin, but even in our rising market of the past year, one has to […]
